It was both awe-inspiring and humbling. <br />Having always been interested in Astronomy I guessed that its current rare proximity (perigee) would be unlikely to be noticed, and I read this morning that its present apparent size is only 0.3% greater than when at its average distance. But it's still mightily impressive.<br />Btw I'm frequently irritated by so many not knowing the difference between a Full Moon and a New Moon - the latter being, if not totally invisible, then, at most, the tiniest sliver of light.
