We woke up yesterday to find all 9 of our goldfish had vanished from the garden pond. The poor things, some of which we had owned for 3 years, had put up with snow and ice yet were no match for a mystery beast.
The consensus is that it was either a cat or a heron. Though both options seem strange to me. The pond is quite deep and the fish could have found safety from either animal.
RIP little fishes.
We also found that the washing machine, which lives in the garage, has sprung a leek - possibly due to ice damage. So I was mopping up water and may not have clean clothes for a while.
And for the record, the man flu remains intact. It's almost two weeks now and it's bloody annoying.
